Summary
Carer Personal Assistant Direct Payment, Lenton area of Nottingham, NOTMAT1702
This position is supporting a young male in the Lenton area of Nottingham who
has Duchene Muscular dystrophy; he is a full-time electric wheelchair user. He would need someone to give him full support as he cannot move independently.
He likes to out into the city centre and to parks, appointments and care in own home including personal care, he does not like decisions made for him. He would like someone who is polite and calm, with a quiet voice.
The hours are full days on a Friday, Saturday and a Sunday, when he is not at college. During holidays he would want support on the other days.
The ideal candidate will be positive, caring, able to use own initiative and learn routines quickly. Experience of care work would be beneficial but full training will be given. You will need to be a confident, competent driver in order to drive a mobility car.
This is a permanent contract.
Working Hours – 35 hours per week
