Summary

Production Operative – Dairy Processing
Location: Preston (Rural outskirts – own transport essential)
Hours: Monday – Friday (5am – 1:30pm), plus every other Saturday (5:00am start)
Pay: £10.85 to £13.00 per hour (depending on age and experience)

• Applicants must be over 18 due to early start times
• Applicants would also be required to have own method of transport due to rural location
• Note: This is a physically active role, involving lifting and moving stock

About the role:

NW Recruitment Services are working with a well-established, family-run dairy business based on the outskirts of Preston. As a Production Operative, you will work within a clean room environment, helping to produce and process high-quality fresh milk products ready for delivery. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to a growing, respected local business.

Key responsibilities:
• Preparing orders for delivery drivers and milkmen
• Working on glass and plastic production lines, maintaining strict hygiene standards
• Lifting and moving stacks of milk safely
• Carrying out occasional delivery driving and covering staff holidays
• Following all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
• Operating machinery safely and maintaining production records

You’ll be part of an important operation helping to ensure high-quality products reach customers across the region.

About you:

• Reliable, punctual, and energetic
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Flexible and co-operative with shift patterns
• Experience in fast-moving environments, machine operation, or production record-keeping is advantageous
• Experience in a process environment or dairy industry is desirable, but not essential – a FMCG food production environment would be beneficial.
