Location: Clifton College, 32 College Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3JH
Salary: £14.22 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 out of 7 days in a week (Predominantly Mon-Fri) 8:00 - 16:30

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and present salads to company and contract standards.
- Follow Health & Safety, hygiene, fire, and COSHH regulations.
- Manage allergens safely with clear communication.
- Maintain correct portioning and control of raw materials.
- Support the Head Chef with menus and ordering when needed.
- Keep all food preparation and service areas clean and hygienic.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and appearance.
- Provide a friendly, polite, and efficient service to customers.
- Attend required training and team meetings.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Sodexo team.
- Report any accidents, hazards, or irregularities immediately.
What You Bring:
- At least one year’s experience working in a kitchen.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- 706/2 or NVQ Level 2 chef qualification (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
- Previous catering experience with a strong passion for food, innovation, and team engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate preferred but not essential.
- Good time‑management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to meet and maintain high standards, particularly regarding food hygiene.
- Positive approach to learning and identifying personal training needs.
- Self‑motivated with the initiative to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contribute to team development, and adapt successfully to change.
