A Vacancy at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.


TheMaternity Smoke-Free Lead Practitioner role will contribute to tackling health inequalities by promoting and supporting Smoke-Free Pregnancies across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Systems.


It will focus on engagingservice usersand their families to adopt healthy lifestylesby providing tobacco dependence treatment in line with Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle v3.2, NICE Guidance,and the NHS Long Term Plan.


The post holder willestablishand maintaincommunication withservice userswho smoke,forwhich strong interpersonal skills are essential. A commitment to working collaboratively with community stakeholders, service users and carers to help reduce health inequalities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough isnecessary.


The post holder willdeliverevidence-based interventions that focus on behaviour change, andlicensedtreatment aidsforwhich training can be offered to enable delivery.

Lead and manage a dedicated team of professionals committed to advancingsmoke-freepractices for pregnantservice users. Develop and implement effective strategies to raise awareness and support smoking cessation. Accurately maintain and complete detailed data records to monitor progress and outcomes precisely. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and effective care for ourservice users.


We are committed to supporting colleagues through organisational change. Priority will be given to staff at risk within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board.
