Job Purpose
To cover all aspects of the Quality function within UML to support customers, suppliers, current production and new project
introduction.
Key Responsibilities
•Build and maintain customer, supplier, and internal relationships.
•Support the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) in ensuring compliance with welding standards.
•Develop and maintain Certificates of Conformity (CofC) where required.
•Support project development by defining quality control and measurement methods.
•Develop and maintain control plans.
•Address current production quality concerns.
•Facilitate investigations into internal, customer, and supplier concerns using the 8D approach.
•Design data collection and analysis processes to assist in problem-solving activities.
•Maintain and communicate Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
•Administer customer portals.
•Perform statistical analysis of processes and MSA studies.
•Execute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to support business growth strategy.
•Conduct ad hoc investigations as required by the company.
Your Skills & Experience
•Quality engineering background (automotive / non-automotive)
•APQP and PPAP processes
•Automotive manufacturing background
•Process improvement using 8D/FMEA/SPC etc.
•MIG/MAG welding operations
•Deep knowledge of current best practice Quality Systems
•Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF 16949
•Computer literate
•Full driving license
•Educated to HNC level or with relevant manufacturing experience
•Experience in welding operations
•Knowledge of EN1090 and ISO3834 would be an advantage
