Summary
Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is a quadruple-accredited, world-ranked management school. At the heart of the student experience is our innovative and busy LUMS Careers team, who make a significant impact on the career development and employability of undergraduates, postgraduates, and graduates.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, driven, and experienced professional to lead on our placements and internships provision.
This role will be a crucial to the work of LUMS Careers, supporting all LUMS students to engage with employers primarily through placement years and internships.
The role will involve developing relationships with employers to encourage their support of student experiential learning opportunities including work shadowing, insight days, internships, and placements. You will have an engaging and effective professional approach, with confidence in your ability to develop and manage your network across the sectors, especially with key employers, to create new opportunities for our students.
You will have recent, relevant, experience at an appropriate level of supporting students through work-based learning, or in graduate recruitment or in student/talent development.
Your previous relevant experience will have equipped you for adapting flexibly to this role and you will be someone who thrives on change, seeks new challenges, and has a passion for helping a diverse community of students and graduates into work related learning opportunities through the development of strong employer networks.
