An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join thePelvicHealthOutpatientPhysiotherapyteam atNorth Bristol NHS Trust.Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is a growing and much needed specialty. We are looking for an excellent team playerwith an interest in pelvic healthwho is flexible, dynamic and open to change, to join our friendly andforward-thinkingteam.
The postholder will be workingwithin thePelvicHealth Physiotherapy team covering outpatient clinics, self-management and education groupsandtele consultations coveringmaternity and gynecologypatients.There is occasionally aneed todeliver advice to women on the maternity wards.There will be a mix offace-to-facepatient contact and virtual contact(e.gtelephone or video).There may be some requirement to travel to community settingsand/or different sitesforsomesessions.
This role is a mix of clinical, administrative and practical tasks to support the Pelvic Health team.

To work as an integral and active part of the North Bristol Trust Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the physiotherapy team in the provision of a patient centred service, in an efficient and cost-effective way.
The post holder will work under the indirect supervision of qualified Physiotherapists in a variety of settings including: physiotherapy outpatients, physiotherapy gym, maternity inpatient units, virtual clinics from office spaces or home, and community centres. This will include 1:1 and group sessions, both virtual (video and telephone) and face to face.
The post holder will assist in the overall management of patients within pelvic health physiotherapy. This will include, but is not limited to, the following patient groups: antenatal (during pregnancy), post-natal (following childbirth), pre and post gynaecological surgery. And may involve management of the following conditions: pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction including incontinence and prolapse.
The role involves both direct patient contact and indirect patient related duties. It is also necessary to undertake some administration and departmental duties e.g. booking patient appointments, coordinating patient groups, supporting data collection, keeping patient documentation and managing stock and equipment.

Clinical:
• To deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment as designed by physiotherapist without direct supervision. This could include patient education and advise, exercises as individual or group, and other alternatives in various settings.
• To organise own workload within delegated area
• Support the pelvic health physiotherapy team in the day to day running of the service.
Administrative:
• To undertake administrative tasks eg. filing, photocopying and assisting with class organization and compiling databases, sending appointment letters, setting up exercise/education groups.
• To undertake as directed any housekeeping duties eg. cleaning of equipment, tidying work areas, changing beds, replenishing First Aid Boxes and Resuscitation Trolley
Professional:
• To demonstrate safe use of equipment to patients and carers including walking aids or support belts.
• To work within Departmental, Trust and CSP guidelines and policies. To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards of practice
• To participate in the staff appraisal scheme as an appraisee and be responsible for complying with the agreed objectives and personal development programme to meet set knowledge and competencies, plus service needs.
• To supervise physiotherapy assistants where appropriate.
• To deliver in-service training sessions as appropriate – Junior, Dept, assistants and students.
• To undertake as directed the collection of data for use in service audit, research or monitoring of service.
