Are you a proactive, hands‑on Engineer who loves solving problems, improving machinery performance, and keeping production running smoothly? This is a great opportunity to join a high‑performing engineering team where you'll work across Electrical, Mechanical, Automation and Control systems.

The Role

As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a multi‑disciplined team responsible for maintaining assets across a busy manufacturing environment. Your focus will be on maximising equipment uptime, responding rapidly to breakdowns, and driving long‑term reliability improvements.

You'll work closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify issues, carry out root cause analysis, and ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and to the right quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across Electrical, Mechanical, Control and Automation systems.
  • Diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain a wide range of production equipment.
  • Support site reliability initiatives including RCA, failure mode analysis and improvement actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and maintenance KPI delivery.
  • Complete duty rounds, asset care tasks, PPMs and condition-based monitoring.
  • Provide technical support for projects, change initiatives and engineering upgrades.
  • Ensure all activities are risk assessed and completed safely.
  • Record all tasks accurately within the maintenance system (SAP).
  • Attend daily meetings to support effective communication between shifts.
  • Support apprentices and colleagues through SOP/SMP creation and knowledge transfer.
  • Escort subcontractors and raise permits to work where required.

What You'll Need

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Multi‑skilled background - Electrical or Mechanical bias welcomed.
  • ONC / HNC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition qualification (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible attitude.
  • IOSH / NEBOSH (desirable).
