You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational airworthiness, guiding colleagues and apprentices, and supporting a highly regulated engineering environment. Your work will help create impactful solutions, build trust with our partners, and help shape a safe and efficient future for aircraft engineering at RNAS Culdrose.
What you’ll do as a Supervisor (Avionics)
You’ll be entrusted to:

Coordinate and supervise Fitters, Fitters’ Mates and Apprentices, allocating daily workloads as directed by the OST Team Lead.
Provide second-signature authorisation for your trade group when required.

A Service Certificate of Competency or completion of the Serco Supervisory Management and Aircraft Documentation Course and CofC Board.
Supervisory experience and strong working knowledge of Merlin aircraft systems, servicing and support equipment.
Understanding of Airworthiness Engineering, Military Aviation Authority (MAA) requirements, and rotary wing aviation procedures.
Experience with Naval Air Publications, C‑IETP, project planning and Lean processes.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet operational outputs.
Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, you will be required to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance.
