The standard shift will be 08:00-17:00
This is a brand-new contract recently awarded to Mitie, secured for a minimum of five years with the potential for a further five-year extension. It offers an excellent opportunity to join a new and energetic team from the very beginning, shaping the service, making your mark and developing your experience as the contract grows.
Key Responsibilities
-Emergency Lighting: Inspection, testing, and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards.
-Water Hygiene: Carry out water hygiene tasks including temperature monitoring, flushing, and sampling in line with regulations.
-HVAC Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
-BMS (Building Management Systems): Monitor and adjust controls for optimal building performance.
-Plumbing: Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures.
-General Fabric Works: Undertake minor building fabric repairs and upkeep to maintain site standards.
What We're Looking For
-Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role.
-Strong knowledge of compliance requirements for emergency lighting and water hygiene.
-Familiarity with HVAC systems and BMS controls.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Relevant trade qualifications (electrical, plumbing, or mechanical).
-Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
-Full UK driving license (preferred).
-Security clearance eligibility for government sites. #EngGen

Working ConditionsShift work may be required (e.g., days/nights or rotating shifts)Participation in an on-call rota (1 in 3) - on call allowance is £170 per weekOvertime is available (4 hours minimum paid per call out at 1.5x, 1.5x Saturday until midday 2x after that. 2x Sunday)
