Summary

Help us deliver exceptional learning experiences by joining our team as a Hospitality & Catering Assistant this summer.

  • Fixed term position due to start 27 April 2026 - 19 July 2026

  • Full time average 37.5 hours per week - weekly hours will vary, with more during busy periods and fewer in quieter weeks.

  • Effective 1 April 2026 the full-time equivalent salary will be circa £25,281 per annum. This will equate to an hourly rate of £12.96.

What you’ll be doing

As one of our Summer Hospitality & Catering Assistants, you’ll be responsible for keeping our visitor spaces clean, tidy, and ready for guests. This includes:

  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas

  • Preparing rooms for guests, including making beds, providing towels, and restocking tea/coffee facilities

  • Ensuring public areas such as corridors and classrooms are neat, tidy, and well-presented

  • Setting up the dining room for meals

  • Assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and service

  • Keeping the dining, kitchen, and tea/coffee areas clean and stocked

Nestled in 20 hectares of south Cumbria countryside between Morecambe Bay and the Lake District, Castle Head is the perfect place to enjoy a breath of fresh air on your breaks.
