Summary
A fantastic part-time live-out nanny opportunity has become available, working with a warm and professional family based in Hertsmere, Hertfordshire.
You will be caring for three cheerful and energetic children – a boy aged nine years and his older brother and sister who are aged 15 and 16. The two older children require limited care.
During term time (34 weeks) the hours of the role will be Monday to Thursday, 14.30-19.30 (20 hours/week). For 14 weeks across the school holidays, the hours will increase to Monday to Thursday, 08.30-18.30 (40 hours/week). You will be paid evenly across the year.
Ad hoc additional hours and evening babysitting may be required by mutual agreement, and will be paid as overtime.
The family is seeking a kind, nurturing, and active nanny who will become an integral part of their household. Your main focus will be on the youngest boy. He is active and likes to be outside exploring or riding his bike.
During school holidays, the parents would like you to plan fun and educational outings — such as visits to the country park, bowling, arranging playdates, etc — to help the children socialise, learn, and most importantly, have fun in a safe environment.
During term time, before the school pick up, you will have time to help keep the children organised. You’ll support with:
• General childcare
• Household laundry
• Tidying and organising bedrooms and play areas
• Preparing uniforms and belongings for the following day
• Overseeing homework
While the family employs a weekly cleaner, help with light household tasks — like tidying the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, or running occasional errands will be part of the role.
You will also be responsible for preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the children, following a meal plan, involving the children if possible. At the end of the day, you will manage bathtime and leave any used areas clean and tidy for the parents.
A confident, safety-conscious driver with a clean licence is essential. A fully insured car will be provided for use during working hours.
