Your role:




As a result of continuous growth, the opportunity has arisen for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Reconditioned team at our
Rotherham site.




Reporting to the Site Manager, this role will be responsible for the delivery and collection of used wooden pallets to and from
our many locally based customers and will do so with a positive attitude and mind set. You are the face of the business and will
ensure that high standards are met at all times.




You will be responsible for ensuring that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy at all times by ensuring that daily and ongoing
checks are completed and that any defects or concerns are reported immediately, in line with the company requirements. You will
also ensure that loading and load security is carried out in a manner that allows loads to be transported without risk to the
product and other road users. It is crucial to follow the rules of the road and ensure that you get the best performance from your
vehicle.




You will play a key part in the team to understand the wider site processes in order to support when able to do so, be punctual,
and follow the company attendance procedure. You will act as a key member of the Scott Pallets team and demonstrate the company
values when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders. It is important that you treat all fellow colleagues with respect
and behave in a way that allows all staff to complete their work without disruption.




As a HGV Driver, you will hold a valid C+E licence for at least 2 years and be up to date with your Drivers CPC training and have
an in date Digital Tachograph card. You will also be competent in the use of curtain side trailers and understand the methods of
safely securing loads for transit. A can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail are key to success.
