Summary

The role involves delivering on the 3 core functions of the EMHP role within a Mental Health Support Team: delivering 1:1 low intensity intervention, whole school delivery and providing an advisory and consultative role. The role will involve holding a caseload, managing this in terms of delivering intervention and supporting through to discharge. There will be close working with education settings to support the delivery of the whole school approach. We have a robust supervision structure in place and the post holders will take an active participation in both clinical and case management supervision and the group/peer supervision arrangements we have in place. Part of the delivery will liaising with our system partners and contributing to the wider contribution across the emotional and mental health pathway in Northumberland. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which: (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
