Summary

Adheres to unit protocols and policies Is aware at all times of the requirements to follow GDPR and Caldicott requirements with particular awareness of sensitivity of the images being produced and works within Trust guidelines and policies with regard to patient consent and confidentiality to clinical photography. Carries responsibility for assessing Gillick competency of minors and judging the understanding of consent authorisation by the patient prior to undertaking photography. Provides advice and guidance in interpreting legislation and policy guidelines to Trust staff when required regarding consent, confidentiality and photography. Ensures correct archiving and labelling of digital images on central server. Controls access to the information in line with GPDR. Manages quality control and performance review in conjunction with Head of CMC. Troubleshoot day-to-day on-site issues with staff and service users. Responsible for on-site colour management of monitors and peripheral devices to ensure accuracy of clinical records. Responsible for the safe use, maintenance and storage of valuable digital camera and video equipment. Responsible for on-site stock control of photography and other materials as agreed with team manager. Acts as role model and advisor to less experienced staff. Supports senior staff to create a suitable, supportive and safe team environment. Supervises placement students within the photographic section of the department as appropriate. Ensures daily team wellbeing is assessed and supported and that weekly huddles take place. Participates teammeetings in the absence of the Head of CMC.
