Summary
Equans HR Graduate Scheme The world around us is changing rapidly, placing an increased demand on growing services sectors to become net zero. We are looking for the next generation of graduates who will continue to innovate across different areas of our business and support the energy, digital and industrial transitions of our customers. As an Equans graduate you will have the exciting opportunity to experience the diverse and interesting world of one of the UK’s biggest facilities management organisations. Starting in September, you will join our induction with the other graduates in your cohort to start building your network and understanding of the business before your specific placement commences. Throughout your scheme, you will spend time within different HR teams to build a greater understanding of how to attract, develop and care for our people and help the business succeed. Your time on the graduate scheme will span across a 2-year period, and you will complete rotations between 4 months to 6 months in length depending on the project type and department. You will need to be fully mobile throughout the scheme as the placements could be based anywhere in the UK and graduates might need to relocate depending on the placement locations.We’re looking for the next generation of engineers, with graduates aspiring to become the leaders of their field! Human Resources Graduate Scheme Overview Our Operational teams deliver an incredibly wide range of services to our clients all over the country and our HR teams play an important role in helping them deliver this service. Our HR function spans across a variety of roles, giving you the opportunity to learn from different teams and gain a comprehensive understanding of the employee lifecycle to kick start your career in HR. If you have a passion for putting the customer first, working in teams and looking to improve and innovate, this scheme is for you. A life in HR is never dull and as a graduate you will gain experience of what it takes to work alongside large, diverse teams in a fun and rewarding industry.As a graduate on the HR pathway, you will complete a number of rotations designed to give you broad exposure and build a strong foundation in HR. Your first placement will be working alongside our Employee Business Services Team in Newcastle where you’ll learn the fundamentals of HR administration, compliance and onboarding. You’ll work closely with employees, line managers and HR leads to understand our HR operations and develop your knowledge. Other rotations on the scheme could include working alongside our recruitment team exploring the role they play in attracting our future talent or in one of our central HR teams, such as L&D, HR Information Systems, or HR Projects teams where you can play a role in delivering strategic HR initiatives. In your second year, you will complete two placements within different operational HR teams supporting contracts such as hospitals, universities, councils or energy projects. You won’t be alone during the scheme; you will be supported to drive your development through structured placement reviews and regular meetings with the Early Careers team. From day one you will have a buddy, usually a graduate in the year above, to share experiences with. You will have the opportunity to join our mentoring scheme where you’ll have the chance to be mentored by a colleague who can share advice with you to support your career development. You will also be able to join our employee-led networks, including our Young Professionals Network. At the end of the scheme, you will have developed the skills and knowledge to go into an Account Management role running one of our smaller operational contracts.
