The Role
We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to provide vital support to our busy Finance Team. You’ll play a key part in maintaining our financial processes, supporting colleagues, and ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Process and register purchase ledger invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and support with invoice queries.
Assist with ensuring purchase orders and invoices meet NDH financial regulations.
Support income accounting processes, including posting electronic and manual receipts, weekly BACS processing, and payment card administration.
Raise and post sundry debtor invoices, maintain control accounts, and support debt recovery processes in line with customer service standards.
Download daily bank transactions and assist with petty cash management.
Support the preparation of cash and cheque banking.
Provide cover for Finance team colleagues during periods of absence.
About You
You will have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
You will have experience in a financial environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to process data accurately.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
A positive, customer‑focused approach and strong teamwork skills.
Good organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
