Summary
Millfield School is seeking a maintenance person with carpentry skills to become a key part of our dedicated maintenance team. You’ll carry out repairs, installations, and general carpentry-related maintenance across our estate, ensuring buildings and facilities remain safe, functional, and well presented.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Maintain and repair fixtures, furniture, doors, and windows
• Carry out general carpentry repairs using hand and power tools
• Support wider maintenance tasks as required across the estate, including assisting with campus operations and logistics such as room setups, furniture moves, and contractor supervision
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in general carpentry maintenance or handyman work
• Ability to manage workload across a large campus / estate
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of an estates team
• Good communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
• Flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and proactive approach
This is a year-round position, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a competitive salary (dependent on experience).
