We are seeking a Handy Person with strong basic DIY skills to support the smooth running of our building and facilities.
This role focuses on practical, hands-on tasks including small repairs, minor painting, changing taps, and supporting wider upkeep across the premises.
Job Description
We are looking for someone confident in carrying out day-to-day fixes, who can respond quickly to maintenance needs and help maintain a safe, functional environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to handle a variety of routine tasks efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance tasks across the building.
Complete small painting and decorating jobs as required.
Perform basic plumbing fixes such as changing taps.
Support minor repairs and practical DIY tasks across different areas.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment at all times.
Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding repair status and requirements.
Report any issues that require specialist attention.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Basic DIY skills – including small painting jobs, changing a tap and general hands-on experience.
Reliable and consistent approach to completing tasks.
Friendly and approachable when interacting with colleagues.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Practical problem-solving ability.
