Summary
Therapeutic Support Worker - Outreach Programme
Headzpace Therapeutic Care is looking for compassionate, reliable Therapeutic Support Workers to join our team supporting young people with complex needs, autism, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient, and committed to providing high‑quality, person‑centred care.
What the role involves
Supporting young people with complex needs and autism in their daily routines
Promoting independence, emotional regulation, and positive engagement
Working as part of a therapeutic team to create a safe, nurturing environment
Recording and reporting in line with organisational standards
Attending training, shadowing, and ongoing development sessions as required.
Outreach Programme
You may also support young people in the community, helping them access activities, appointments, education, and social opportunities. This includes promoting independence, building confidence, and supporting therapeutic goals outside the home environment.
Requirements
Full UK driving licence is a must
Use of your own vehicle for work purposes
Experience supporting individuals with autism and complex needs
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends where required
Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach
Please note: Due to the specific needs and preferences of the young person this role primarily supports, this position is open to female applicants only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
