Summary

Nursery Room Leader (Level 3) – 40 Hours per Week – Up to £28,200

Our client encourages movement, curiosity and independence, with children free to explore different areas throughout the day. You’ll lead a room where observation shapes planning and practitioners are trusted to use their judgement. We’re looking for an experienced Level 3 early years professional who is ready to take responsibility for standards, people, and outcomes.

Before You Apply

  • You must have recent experience leading or deputising within a nursery room.

What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Experience working as a Nursery Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and assessment requirements
  • Confidence supervising staff and overseeing daily room operations

Desirable

  • Paediatric First Aid certification

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room, ensuring ratio and compliance requirements are met
  • Oversee planning and assessment, maintaining accurate learning records
  • Act as Key Person for a group of children while supporting team members with theirs
  • Monitor safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS standards within the room
  • Provide guidance, feedback and informal supervision to practitioners
  • Build professional relationships with parents, addressing queries and sharing progress updates
