Summary

UK Security Vetting (UKSV) have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst (BA) to join our transformation team. Our Business Analysts play a key role and will work to support UK Security Vetting (UKSV) to become more digitally enabled, have a strong understanding of strategic arenas and lead complex projects. This role will ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture.

As a Business Analyst within UKSV, you will have a diverse role that will allow you to become a leader in the BA community (across government and externally), proactively share knowledge and will be seen as a go-to person in their field while also mentoring others and owning the main stakeholder relationships and develop best practice in the delivery of business analysis across the organisation. Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop best practice
  • Engaging stakeholders, securing stakeholder support and nurturing collaborative working relationships and practices
  • Manage communities-of-practice activities (internally and across government)
  • Leading small-to-medium-sized projects and supports larger and more complex projects
  • Advancing the BA community through the sharing of best practice and mentoring others

As a Business Analyst within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:

  • Experience of business strategy mapping and full range of business analysis methods
  • Knowledge a range of industry standard tools and techniques to elicit the optimum solutions to resolve organisational challenges
  • Evidence of problem solving/analytical skills; demonstrable ability with continuous improvement tools and adapting approaches to ensure optimal adoption of new ways of working
  • Excellent oral communication skills along with good planning and organisational skills
