A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required. All successful candidates will be subject to safer recruitment checks, including a fully completed Application Form and a DBS Check.

DUTIES
• Plan & Deliver Learning Activities:
Create and implement engaging, play-based activities that support all areas of learning and development. Adapt planning to meet individual children’s interests, needs, and stages of development.
• Observation & Assessment:
Carry out regular observations, track children’s progress, and maintain accurate records. Use assessments to inform future planning and ensure every child is supported to reach their full potential.
• Key Person Role:
Act as a Key Person for a group of children, building secure attachments, supporting emotional wellbeing, and maintaining strong partnerships with parents and carers through regular communication and progress updates.
• Safeguarding & Welfare:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children by following safeguarding procedures, maintaining a secure environment, and promoting health and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support Individual Needs:
Recognise and support children with additional needs, working alongside colleagues and external professionals where required to promote inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Promote Positive Behaviour:
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies.
• Team Collaboration:
Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to staff meetings, sharing ideas, and supporting the smooth daily running of the setting.

For this role, you will need:
• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
• Over 2 years’ experience working in Early Years
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
