We are looking for an organized and motivated Administrator to support the clerical and administrative needs of the Assistive Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to support a specialist team that helps students access learning through innovative assistive technology solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working collaboratively and wants their work to have a meaningful impact on young people’s education and independence.
About the Role
You will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Assistive Technology department, working closely with Assistive Technologists, the Educational Technologist, therapists and wider colleagues, ensuring a polite, helpful, and friendly service.
Your work will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while supporting the development of learning resources and maintaining accurate departmental records.
Regular tasks will include:
Answering the telephone, and taking clear messages or locating the required person
Maintaining a range of electronic record keeping systems
Working alongside team members to research and order parts and equipment and maintaining accurate records
Booking and assisting with the organisation of appointments and equipment assessments with external professionals
Attend relevant meetings and follow up agreed actions
Carry out general administrative duties to support the team
About you:
The successful candidate will have a good all round education including GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). You should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and have a confident, approachable manner. You will need to be IT literate and show a proficient ability to use Microsoft Office packages.
