An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Band 5 or 6 Nurse to join our dynamic Endocrine team in our Endocrine Investigation Unit on fixed term for 6 months 30 hours each week

The role is to deliver high quality specialist care and support to patients with Endocrine conditions. Clinical responsibilities will include performing dynamic function testing as well as running nurse led clinics including Growth Hormone.

The successful candidate will have experience in Endocrine or have a keen interest, and is expected to work closely with Consultants, members of the MDT, patient support groups, PALS and research personnel. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential.



Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementing and evaluating of programmes of care for patients with endocrine disorders.

Taking charge and actively participating in and contributing to the management of the whole unit in the absence of the unit manager.

Providing specialist knowledge within the unit for example patient education, performing dynamic function tests, participating in research and audit.

Organising the admission of patients to the day care unit by booking patients for dynamic function tests, ordering specialized medication and ensuring appropriateness of referrals for tests. Nurse led clinics.
