Safe Haven is a two-year pilot delivered in partnership with North East Counselling Service as part of the Long-Term Plan Community Mental Health Transformation Alternative to Crisis agenda.
Safe Haven supports people who are experiencing mental health crisis or distress and provides a de-escalation space..
What you'll be doing
We are looking for a Welfare Coordinator who will be responsible for delivering high level customer service, welcoming clients into the building ensuring they feel safe and welcome, providing de-escalation support and chaperone clients and staff as well as protection and security.
The Welfare Coordinator will be required to work flexibly Monday to Sunday, 18 hours per week (5pm-11pm) and is fixed term for 12 months. This may be extended subject to funding.
