Our client is looking to appoint a reliable and organised Finance Assistant to join their team based in Inverness. The role is part-time, 20 hrs per week ideally over 5 days but with some flexibility offered. This is a fixed term 12-month Maternity Cover role.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing and reconciling sales and purchase invoices.
• Bank account reconciliations.
• Updating and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Daily use of financial software systems and MS Office as well as an in house database.
• Operating with accuracy and attention to detail in all record keeping.
• Answering enquiries by telephone and email.
• Dealing with colleagues, customers and other contacts in a professional manner.
Person Specification
• Previous experience in a similar accounts/bookkeeping role.
• Strong IT skills including financial software systems.
• Strong organisational skills and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in dealing with figures.
• Ability to learn new skills, systems and procedures with ease.
