We are seeking an outstanding and committed Geography Teacher to join a well-respected and prestigious secondary school on a long-term maternity cover basis. This is primarily a full-time position; however, part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate. The role involves teaching Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 within a highly supportive and successful Humanities department.
The school has an excellent reputation for academic achievement, high standards of behaviour, and a strong commitment to both staff development and student success. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Geography specialist to contribute meaningfully to a thriving school community.
The Role:
• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5 (including A Level)
• Plan, prepare and assess in line with departmental schemes of work
• Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
• Fulfil all professional duties expected of a teacher, including marking, assessment, reporting, parents’ evenings and wider school responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or be an experienced Instructor
• Have experience teaching Geography at secondary level, including A Level
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Be organised, proactive and committed to the wider life of the school
