Summary

Apply for accredited physiotherapy apprenticeship, attend university and placements and achieve physiotherapy qualification Provide support and care planned therapeutic interventions with an allocated group of service users with mental health and physical health needs as identified by a registered Physiotherapist. Work without direct supervision but under the direction of a registered member of staff, undertaking tasks delegated by a qualified Physiotherapist and taking responsibility for lone working. Promote and support the health and wellbeing of service users through a range of Physiotherapy interventions, including supporting the delivery of mobility and movement programmes to restore optimum function. About You Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Caring, compassionate approach towards people. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly motivated and committed to professional development. Essential Criteria Current MPFT employee. Experience working in a healthcare setting. Ability to commit to physiotherapy training and academic requirements. To meet the relevant requirements to allow successful application and commencement on a Physiotherapy Degree. To commence Physiotherapy degree within a 12 month period of employment commencement. ability to travel to university and placement locations. Desirable Criteria Previous experience in physiotherapy or rehabilitation. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. A relevant degree, if you are wanting to undertake the Masters Course Criteria for MSc and BSc Physiotherapy Course MSc - A broad profile of at least 7 subjects at GCSE grades 9-4; to include Maths, English Language at a minimum of grade 6 or functional skills level 2, A recent (within 3 years) BSc (Hons) 2:1 in a health or science related subject which covers human biology or physiology, Successful completion of 3 A levels (or equivalent). BSc - English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or above or functional skills level 2, A Level minimum of profile of Grades ABB in three subjects including a Biological Science (with a pass in the practical component) or P.E. but excluding General Studies OR BTEC in Sport and Exercise Science OR A relevant health or biological science QAA approved ACCESS DIPLOMA Course - (60 credits of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 with the remainder at Level 2 and a minimum of merit grades in all modules) OR Pass NVQ level III in Allied Health Profession Support: Physiotherapy; plus Grade B in GCE A level Biology or Human Biology Following successful qualification and HCPC registration the post holder will be invited to apply for a band 5 physiotherapist position within the team.
