We are recruiting for an experienced part time cook to join our client’s busy catering team. They produce food from fresh ingredients and good honest cooking, seating approx. 100 people
Hours are Friday and Sunday and Monday 8.00am -5.00pm – 24 hours per week. Temporary leading to a possible permanent contract for the right candidate
Working in a large kitchen team, the successful individual will be responsible for general food prep, service cooking and cleaning down.
Duties for Cook include:
• Prepare, cook and present food to a high standard
• Work safely around the kitchen equipment
• Maintain accurate food records
• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
• Monitor portion size and waste
Skills needed for cook:
• Experience of working in a busy kitchen
• Experience of commercial catering equipment
• Remains calm under pressure
• Good time management
This role would suit somebody from a school, café, large volume canteen or nursing home style home cooking environment.
