Science Teacher (Chemistry Specialist) - Blackburn - Full-Time Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate Chemistry specialist to join a supportive secondary school in Blackburn on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideal for a dedicated teacher ready to inspire students and make a real impact in the Science department.
Location: Blackburn
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: Competitive salary / daily rate depending on experience
The Role:
  • Teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE level
  • Plan, prepare, and assess engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Support students in developing strong scientific knowledge and practical skills
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
  • Contribute positively to the Science department and wider school community
The Ideal Candidate:
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Chemistry in a UK secondary school
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passionate about inspiring students and achieving excellent outcomes
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and ready for a full-time placement
