Summary

Kensington & Chelsea, W10 (commutable from Ladbroke Grove, Notting Hill, Shepherd's Bush, Paddington, Hammersmith)
£105-£115 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year)
Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient, confident and highly proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with challenging behaviour and complex needs in a specialist provision within a mainstream primary setting.
This role is ideal for someone with a specialist school background who is experienced in supporting pupils with high levels of need, including ASD, SEMH and communication difficulties. Positive handling experience is essential.
About the Role
Working closely with the SENCo and specialist staff team, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing consistent 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex needs
* Managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation and positive handling strategies
* Supporting emotional regulation using structured and trauma-informed approaches
* Implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
* Maintaining clear routines, boundaries and expectations
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
* Recording progress and contributing to review meetings where required
This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring resilience, emotional intelligence and strong behaviour management skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience in a specialist or alternative provision setting
* Confident supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
* Positive handling / physical intervention training or practical experience
* Calm under pressure and able to maintain consistent boundaries
* Committed to long-term impact and pupil development
