The Role
We are looking for a caring and reliable Lunchtime Assistant to join our team. This role is key to supporting children during mealtimes and ensuring a safe, positive and nurturing environment.
No prior experience is required – just a genuine passion for working with children and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the dining area for mealtimes
- Supervise and support children while eating, encouraging independence
- Promote healthy eating and positive social interactions
- Ensure all dietary and allergy requirements are safely managed
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Support children with personal care routines where required
- Assist the wider team during staff breaks
- Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are safe and well cared for

- Kind, patient and nurturing
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Reliable and able to follow procedures
- Committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment
- Qualifications in Early Years (Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential.
Important Information:
- This is an all year round role (not term time only).
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
- The role is subject to a probationary period.
