Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Independent Living Adviser to support individuals receiving Direct Payments. You’ll provide guidance, complete budgets, explain payroll and employment for personal assistants, and help customers access care and support in the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support service users with Direct Payment paperwork and initial costings.
Explain payroll, employment, and prepaid card processes.
Complete employment contracts for personal assistants.
Create tailored support plans for customers.
Conduct occasional face-to-face visits to customer homes.
Offer ongoing advice and guidance to Direct Payment recipients.
Skills & Experience:
Experience working with vulnerable people.
Experience providing advice or customer service.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good organisational skills and ability to manage workloads.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
