My client is a global leader within the automation and packing industry who offer end to end manufacturing solutions to their clients
They are now on the lookout for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team based in Swindon.
Key Responsibilities – Commercial & Supply Chain Coordinator
• Run the material requirements planning (MRP) system, placing purchase and subcontract orders, and ensuring orders are confirmed at agreed costs and lead times.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Control material stock levels to meet customer demand while optimising inventory and stock turns.
• Support the delivery of all required reports, analysis, and supporting documentation for the Materials business unit.
• Support with basic quotation and cost-gathering activities.
• Oversee the import process and maintain compliance.
• Process complaints and manage corrective actions – Ensuring incurred cost are recovered from suppliers.
• Create and maintain material master data in SAP, including specifications, units of measure, net weights, and MRP data
Qualifications & Experience – Commercial & Supply Chain Coordinator
• Optimising order quantities to achieve the next price break.
• Verifying that PO pricing matches quoted rates and is linked to an RFQ.
• Confirming that new business delivers the expected gross margin percentage.
• Producing a monthly report of underperforming SKUs and implementing actions to improve margin.
• Review material stock levels to ensure customer demand is met while optimising inventory and stock turns.
• Maximise gross margin by maintaining accurate supplier and customer price lists in SAP.
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers as required.
• Enable efficient and accurate reporting where needed.
• Create and maintain supplier purchase orders and resolve related queries.
• Optimise supplier, company and customer inventory.
• Support delivery of departmental commercial budgets and objectives.
• Maintain a sound understanding of the Materials Business Unit budgets and deliverables.
• Be proficient in Excel.
• Support the processing of supplier quality complaints.
• Accurately and methodically create material bills of materials (BOMs).
• Ensure compliance with import processes.
• Ensure compliance with Plastic Packaging Tax requirements.
• Organise and monitor subcontract processing
On Offer – Commercial & Supply Chain Coordinator
• £37,500–£42,500 DOE
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
• Company pays annual bonus
• BUPA Private health cover
• Double matched pension of up to 16% employer contribution (If you pay in 8%, they will pay in 16%, making total contribution 24%)
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
