Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Charnwood to assist with the appointment of a Housing Administration Officer, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.68 - £16.47 per hour
Summary:
An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Administration Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support across the Strategic and Private Sector Housing Service. The role involves supporting housing needs, private sector housing grants, customer enquiries, data management, and financial processing while delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support including post handling, filing, minute taking, and mailbox management
Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and sensitive manner
Maintain and update housing and financial systems accurately
Support housing applications, housing register updates, and choice-based lettings processes
Process housing grants, invoices, payments, and maintain financial records
Qualifications:
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C / Level 4 or above)
OR relevant demonstrable administrative experience
Essential Requirements:
Significant experience in office/clerical administration
Experience using computerised systems and Microsoft Office
Experience working in a customer-focused environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of Excel
Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
