Summary
Experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team at our Head Office based in Whitchurch, Shropshire. Due to continued expansion, this is a permanent, full-time opportunity within a stable and well-established organisation.
The Role:
You will take full ownership of the Purchase Ledger function, working independently and ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier accounts.
Key responsibilities will include:
Management of purchase ledger function
Processing and authorising invoices
Managing supplier queries and maintaining supplier relationships
Bank reconciliations
Preparing and processing monthly BACS payment runs
Petty Cash management
Ensure deadlines are met as part of Month-End close down
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have previous hands-on experience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable position
Essential requirements:
1-3 years recent Purchase Ledger experience is essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
Confident IT skills including experience using Sage and Excel
Excellent communication and organisational skills
