Summary
As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence.
Attend to pupils’ personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, and welfare support.
Support the development and implementation of Individual Education and Behaviour Plans, as well as Personal Care programmes.
Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and wider school activities, including trips and out-of-class events.
Work with teachers to support learning and manage pupil behaviour effectively.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with or caring for children.
Holds relevant qualifications and good literacy/numeracy skills.
Is willing to participate in training and development, including completing the Teaching Assistant Induction Programme.
Can use ICT effectively to support learning and classroom activities.
Is positive, flexible, and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion, and teamwork.
