am looking for a PA for 6.5 hours a week to help me to become more independent and build up my confidence of being out in the community on my own. I am an 18 year old female and a wheelchair user, I am chronically ill so I can become tired very quickly so I need a PA who is compassionate and understanding. I would like to take the bus into town sometimes and would need taking to wheelchair basketball every week using my Motability car.
I am very active and busy, playing wheelchair basketball, campaigning for Disability Rights, and also studying A-level Politics, Environmental Management via an online school a couple of hours a day.
An animal lover would be a bonus but they must be okay around cats and dogs.

Duties include:
- Moving and handling
- Transportation
- Companionship
- The PA would need to be first aid trained as I have an Epi Pen that I carry around with me. I also have Tourette's so the PA would need to be able to not react to my ticks as this can enhance the ticks sometimes
- I struggle with my eating sometimes so I would need the PA to be understanding and not try to force me to eat
- I am visually impaired so I would need support is seeing certain things so the PA would need to have empathy and patience with me
- There may be times where I struggle to speak so the PA would need to be able to help me translate or speak for me in them instances. I do have a tablet that I am able to speak through as well
- I have a water allergy so if I am out in the community and it starts to rain it is really important for me to get the wheelchair cover on as soon as possible otherwise my skin can start to feel very uncomfortable and painful

- I have had bad experiences in the past so I find trusting people difficult so I am looking for someone who is compassionate and caring. I am looking for someone who can support me and help me to be as independent as I can
- I am looking for someone who I can build trust with and someone who is understanding and accepts me for me
- They must also accept the LGBTQIA +community
Additional requirements
- Non-smoker due to medical reasons
- Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
