Summary

We're looking for an Internal Audit Apprentice to join our Group Internal Audit team, flexible on locations nationwide, working towards a Level 4 apprenticeship in internal audit.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.



Location: Fully flexible across the UK

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Salary: £20,800 per annum



How does an apprenticeship work?

As an Internal Audit Apprentice, you'll be enrolled onto a Level 4 apprenticeship in Internal Audit with the option to complete an Institute of Internal Auditors or ACCA qualification, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Group Functions team to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Kier Group Risk and Internal Audit function

Your day to day will include:

-Documenting processes, risks and controls across the business

-Visiting projects and offices across the business to support delivering internal audits

-Assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key business controls

-Conducting data analysis to understand how controls are operating in practice

-Assisting the Group Risk team with maintenance of the Group risk and assurance frameworks

-Making suggestions and getting involved with projects for the continuous improvement of internal audit and risk management effectiveness and efficiency



What are we looking for?

The role of Internal Audit Apprentice is great for you if you:

-Hold 2 A levels or equivalent

-Have knowledge of using Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

-Motivated to solve problems and understand how things work

-Can work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently

-Possess excellent communication skills with great attention to detail
