Summary

We're looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team working on projects in the Northern Thames Valley region.

Location: Culham, Oxfordshire - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join our innovative team working on vital water infrastructure projects under the IChemE Burgundy Book contract. As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial aspects of multiple water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Thames Water Framework team, supporting them in delivering essential water infrastructure projects. Your day to day will include:

• Managing financial reporting, cost value reconciliations, and forecasting to ensure project profitability

• Overseeing contract administration and procurement processes in line with Thames Water policies

• Leading negotiations with clients, contractors and stakeholders to achieve favourable contract terms

• Mentoring and supporting a commercial team across multiple projects

• Implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate financial challenges

What are we looking for?

This role of Managing Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You have a degree in quantity surveying, construction management or related field

• You bring experience in water/wastewater projects and understanding of standard forms of contract

• You're skilled at building collaborative relationships and have excellent communication abilities

• You enjoy mentoring others and can nurture a supportive team environment

• You're detail-oriented with excellent financial management and negotiation skills
