Summary

Safety & Risk Administrator – HMP Bronzefield

Join HMP Bronzefield as a Safety & Risk Administrator and play a key role in supporting a safe custodial environment for staff, prisoners, and visitors. You will provide essential administrative support to the Safety & Risk Team, helping to maintain compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, while ensuring smooth operational processes across the prison.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Safety & Risk document control system and maintain accurate records.

  • Prepare and produce weekly and monthly safety and compliance reports.

  • Support Health & Safety and Fire audits, recording and monitoring activities to ensure compliance.

  • Cascade safety and fire information across the site, including supporting Toolbox Talks and Safe System of Work updates.

  • Assist with administration for fire safety equipment, training records, and monthly Safety & Fire Safety meetings.

  • Support the reporting process for health, safety, and fire incidents across the prison.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in administrative roles with strong attention to detail.

  • Confident working collaboratively within a team and liaising with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism when working in a secure environment.

  • Committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion within a custodial setting.

  • Desirable: Experience working in a secure or similar environment is advantageous.

Package Description
  • Salary: £24,570 + £3,729.24 per annum

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
