Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager – 40 Hours – Up to £31,000



This nursery has large, airy rooms and a wonderful outdoor garden that children use regularly, supported by an established Forest School programme. The setting cares for children from three months to five years in defined age-group rooms, with resources chosen for each stage. As a Deputy Nursery Manager role is focused on ensuring consistent delivery of care and learning, working closely with room leaders and practitioners.

  • You must have recent senior experience within a nursery or early years setting.

What You’ll Need



  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

  • Senior or supervisory experience within a nursery setting

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Confidence leading a team and maintaining compliance standards


Desirable



  • Paediatric First Aid certification

  • Previous Deputy Nursery Manager experience



What You’ll Do



  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery

  • Lead practice across rooms to maintain consistent standards of care and education

  • Oversee planning and delivery of EYFS activities, including outdoor learning

  • Coach and guide practitioners, students and room leaders

  • Monitor safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance requirements

  • Build professional relationships with parents and carers
