Summary

Nursery Room Leader Level 3 – 40 Hours – Up to £30,300



You will lead a vibrant room, delivering the activities and lessons that blend EYFS and child-led play, and support children as their learning environments evolve towards more structured pre-school routines.



The nursery is based in a converted house with age-specific rooms equipped with play furniture and a broad range of educational resources. Outdoor learning is built into the day, with a large garden and playground.



Before You Apply



  • This role requires a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.

  • You must have recent experience leading a room or team in a nursery setting.



Key Job Details



  • Salary up to £30,300 (depending on experience and service)

  • 40 hours per week

  • Full-time, permanent contract

What You’ll Need



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

  • Proven room leadership experience in a nursery setting

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development stages

  • Ability to lead staff, maintain room standards, and manage daily operations


Desirable



  • Paediatric First Aid certification



What You’ll Do



  • Lead and manage a room team to deliver high-quality EYFS practice

  • Plan and deliver a balanced mix of child-led and adult-led learning

  • Oversee room routines, transitions, and daily organisation

  • Monitor and record children’s development and progress

  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene standards are met

  • Communicate with parents and support smooth transitions between rooms
