Summary
To ensure the safety of all patients undergoing endoscopy by ensuring efficiency of all decontamination processes through sound management of equipment and training in decontamination in accordance with national and local guidelines. To take responsibility for the running and maintenance of the decontamination area, ensuring all flexible endoscopes and accessories are cleaned, disinfected and appropriately tracked using the electronic tracking system in accordance with national and local guidelines. The post holder will be required to maintain skills required to fulfil on call duties.
