Summary
The Doctor will support in a rolling 1:10 rota and be involved in covering all aspects of inpatient care including on-call, ward cover and night shifts. During other duty periods, the post holder will be involved in other aspects of the paediatric surgical service, including attending outpatient clinics, and theatres. They will also have exposure to other activities within the department including opportunities for quality improvement, audit and contributions to clinical governance work. We would encourage post holders to pursue their clinical interests using connections within the hospital, to be able to help them to achieve their next steps for career progression.
