Embark on an exciting culinary journey as the Head Chef at our clients recently relaunched food-led pub, nestled between Havant and Chichester. This permanent role offers you the opportunity to showcase your passion for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and your flair for creating a seasonal British menu that will embody the values of Fresh, Good Seasonal British Menu.
As Head Chef you will develop a menu that showcases your expertise as a Head Chef, with the freedom to put your creative stamp on every dish.
- Collaborate with the owners to grow the business and elevate the food offering, transforming this establishment into a true dining destination.
- Thrive in a supportive environment that values your vision and empowers you to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef, with a demonstrated passion for using local suppliers and produce to create high-quality, seasonal dishes.
Proficiency in maintaining a Rosette-level standard of culinary excellence, ensuring every plate that leaves the kitchen is a masterpiece.
Experienced in High kitchen hygiene & Management.
Ability to manage a team and oversee the efficient operation of a busy kitchen, catering for 30-80 covers with occasional buffets for up to 35 guests.
Commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative work environment and mentoring junior chefs to help them reach their full potential.
Enthusiasm for continuously improving the menu and exploring new culinary trends to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
Due to rural location own transport is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal culinary training or a recognised qualification in the culinary arts.
Extensive experience working in a similar food-led establishment, with a proven track record of success.
Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a kitchen team and liaise with front-of-house staff.
