Turning Point Scotland South Lanarkshire Reachout service are offering the opportunity to work within their fantastic supportive team to provide intensive case management and post and pre-detox support.
South Lanarkshire Reachout Service provides Assertive Outreach and Intensive Case Management to support people affected by problematic alcohol and other drug use.
We work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs relating to their alcohol use—offering practical and emotional support while empowering them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of daily life, including:
Keeping safe
Building positive relationships
Improving physical and emotional wellbeing
Developing meaningful activities
Enhancing community involvement
Our assertive outreach approach is central to delivering a person-centred, flexible model designed to engage people who often face barriers accessing support. We are looking for an engaging, community-minded individual to support and promote our three community cafés in Cambuslang, Carluke, and Rutherglen. These cafés play a vital role in providing safe, welcoming spaces where people can connect, access support, and take part in meaningful activity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide front‑facing support, meeting and greeting café visitors and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the three cafés across South Lanarkshire.
Coordinate and deliver group work, activities, and community engagement opportunities.
Organise events that bring people together and strengthen community connections.
Support, guide, and oversee peer volunteers, helping to build their confidence and contribution.
Promote the cafés across local communities & partner organisations to increase engagement.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Friendly, approachable, and confident in community settings.
Passionate about supporting people affected by alcohol and drug use.
Organised, proactive, and able to manage varied workloads across different sites.
Comfortable facilitating groups and coordinating activities.
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.
This role would require someone with experience within the Alcohol and Other Drugs sector, we believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is what you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.
As a Lead Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
