Are you a skilled Computing specialist looking for a part-time teaching opportunity in Lancaster? We are currently recruiting for a Computing Teacher to work every Tuesday, delivering lessons up to GCSE level at a supportive secondary school.
Location: Lancaster
Contract: Ongoing
Working Day: Every Tuesday
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach GCSE Computer Science/Computing (OCR/AQA/Edexcel experience desirable)
- Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
- Support students in developing programming, computational thinking and digital literacy skills
- Maintain strong classroom management and behaviour standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Computing or Computer Science up to GCSE
- Confident teaching programming ( Python) and theory-based content
- Strong classroom management skills
- Reliable and committed to a consistent weekly placement
