Summary
Our client is looking to employ an experienced Pig Stockperson for their farm in North Yorkshire, YO51.
They have a 320-sow breeding-to-finishing indoor pig unit. The family has been in pigs for over 35 years, has invested in modern, high-quality buildings for the future, and continues to invest.
They are looking for an experienced stockperson who can manage their own work and maintain the unit's excellent performance.
Candidates will ideally have:
Experience with pig husbandry across all aspects, including farrowing and serving
Good communication skills
Good record keeping
Be able to work in a team but manage oneself
Demonstrate a strong work ethic with great attention to detail
High welfare standards
Capable of leading in the absence of the employer
Salary guide: £36,000 - £39,000 DOE
Plus: An excellent three-bedroom house in the local village close to local amenities.
